So many of our couples are down to earth, nature loving folks and we absolutely love that! If you picture your engagement session with tall grasses, open fields, and maybe even some wild flowers, then these are the locations are for you!
Madison is a beautiful city, and within and around it there are some really gorgeous locations for engagement photos with natural scenery and plenty of greenery. Take a peak at four of our most requested spots below!
Token Creek Park, Deforest WI
Why we love this park for engagement photos in Madison WI:
Token Creek has so many perks. It’s dog friendly, plenty of space and has parking. This is our number one requested engagement session location in the Madison Area from couples who want a natural vibe! We also love it’s close proximity to local restaurants and things to do! It’s a perfect spot for those traveling from out of town because navigating there is a breeze, and for those who are from Madison, it’s a quiet little get away from the hustle and bustle of the city!

Indian Lake County Park, Cross Plains WI
What we love about engagement photos at this Madison WI area location:
This park has it all. From beautiful winding pathways decorated with wildflowers, to open fields, water, and even goats! The ruins are one of the most popular stops at this location, because it is unlike anything other in the area. This spot tends to require a bit of walking, but bonus- they have great parking and shelters to rest at!

Devil’s Lake Park, Baraboo WI
What we love about this Madison area spot:
This spot is a favorite for our highly adventurous couples. With a little bit of hiking, you can reach breathtaking views and scenery that simply cannot be found anywhere else. We love that you get the beach, bluffs, and grassy areas all in one location. This location does require a park pass, and if you plan to take your photos on the bluff we’ll need to plan for extra hiking time. P.S. We recommend packing an extra change of shoes for this!

Local Waterfowl Production Area
Why we love engagement photos here:
This engagement photo location is on the outskirts of Madison WI, and is technically outside of Dane County. However, if you’re willing to travel it’s truly a hidden gem. So hidden, that we keep the name secret and only share it with our couples! It is a public hunting land, but. tends to be very quiet which is perfect for those of you who are feeling shy. The view at sunset is breathtaking, and we love to use this spot mostly in the fall when those beautiful golden colors start to pop!
