Deforest, WI | Portrait Session
Over time I have learned that my job as a photographer is about so much more than the photos I capture. It’s about documenting life, preserving the feelings/emotions, and building relationships with the people in the photos.
We met Alex and Alexa back in the fall of 2022 when we photographed their engagement session at Indian Lake! In that time we bonded over our love of supper clubs and Chris Stapleton, had a few laughs over the goats on the property, and best of all- we started building the relationship that allowed them to relax and enjoy their photos.
In June of the following year, we joined them and their loved ones at The Field’s Reserve to document their wedding day. My favorite part of that day was how much they prioritized their time with each other and with their guests. We captured the tears, the laughter, and the ear to ear smiles at sunset when they we’re officially husband and wife!
Then, to my absolute delight, I saw them again this spring where they shared the exciting news that baby Moss is on the way! That’s three times now, that I have had the privilege of documenting a major milestone for this pair and I can’t help but feel incredibly lucky. I smiled the whole way home. In part because I know how kind and compassionate they will be as parents, and how loved that baby already is. Also, because this job is such a gift and it’s just keeps on giving.
Congratulations to you both on another exciting adventure! Thank you again for allowing me to be part of it.
