A spring engagement session at Indian Lake County Park filled with warm glowing light and a soft earth tone color palette.
As Ethan and Carly excitedly count down the days to their fall wedding at Harvest Moon Pond, we met up with one another to enjoy the exciting season of life they are currently in. What better way to celebrate an upcoming marriage, than with photos that highlight their love and connection. We made our way to Carly’s pick, Indian Lake for this beautiful engagement session.
Most times, an engagement session is our first opportunity to meet one another in person, but we had been introduced to Carly and Ethan once before at their venue open house this winter! After getting to know them a little better in their consultation, I could tell that they would be a special pair. They are a couple who loves deeply, and who has the ability to see one another for everything that they are. Their personalities act as a balance to each other, and together they make family a priority. Finding a wedding photographer who could understand all of that proved to be a bit of a challenge for Carly. She shared with me that she had met with several others before us, and each time something was off. Until, she found us.
I was so beyond flattered, and admittedly a little nervous! Less than 20 seconds into their session and those nerves faded away. Their connection was MAGNETIC! I could hardly keep them off of one another (not that I really tried). Every time Ethan looked at Carly he just lit up. Together they exuded so much joy and excitement for this season of life. As the sun slowly set, my camera clicked away and before I had realized it, we had already spent an hour just chatting about life while documenting love.
We left that evening feeling as though we had just spent time with friends. When we meet again next year for the big day, I know it will feel just the same.
