When I met with Bri and Brandon for their wedding consultation Bri shared with me that photography was the most important thing to her. Not only that, but she had to have Dave and I on her wedding day! I am completely humbled and so touched, and I still cannot believe that they are bringing us along to their celebration in Jamaica in just a few short months!
As we planned and prepped for their fall engagement session, Bri laid all of her trust in us. Everything from her outfits, to the location she relied on us for guidance because she knew that if she trusted the process- she would not only have a blast, but she’d love her photos too. Her willingness to let us do our jobs is one of the greatest compliments we could ever receive!
As their session fast approached, we texted back and forth about what colors would look best for their fall session, how they wanted their photos to feel, and ways we could include their sweet Barley girl. I was so excited to meet her fiance Brandon, and celebrate this exciting season of life with them!
Bri and Brandon both said they were a little camera shy. I later learned could not be further from the truth! To ease their nerves we opted for a small grassy area where I knew there’d be very few people. This way Barley could run free and they could relax and have fun!
Within literal seconds of turning on my camera, we already had so many sweet shots of these two. Their connection is built on lots of fun and laughter. My cheeks burned just from smiling back at them all night. Their happiness with one another was refreshing and so beautiful to capture.
Aside from the genuine joy of catching up with Bri, and the fun the four of us had joking around, my favorite part of this engagement session was the vibrant fall colors! The leaves were just starting to turn golden, so we added some warm fall colors in their wardrobe. Those, paired with that golden hour sun, made all of my colorful fall photo dreams com true!
