A beautiful fall afternoon spent relaxing and unwinding with the 2023 Senior Spokesmodel Team. Special thanks to our amazing vendors, The Mane Tap, The Little Chic Shasta and Delicious UnVailed for helping make this possible!
Last weekend we hosted the Fall Senior Spokesmodel Event for this year’s team of representatives. I wanted to offer them an opportunity to take a break from school, hang out with their friends, and do something out of the ordinary. With the help of a few incredible vendors, we put together an event complete with a hot cocoa bar, pumpkin painting, tasty fall treats, and of course- this adorable little photo booth that everyone LOVED!
When I first started my senior spokesmodel team, I wanted to be sure that the seniors had fun. I wanted this to be a program that gave them a sense of community, access to special events that they wouldn’t attend normally, and an opportunity for parents to spend a little extra time with their teens before graduation. I also wanted them to feel really special, because they ARE.
In conversations with each of them leading up to the event, I had heard that so many of these seniors were already feeling burnt out by the school year. With major decisions being made about future steps, and juggling the emotions of so many “lasts”, it was really important to me that for this day they just got to feel like kids again. As they painted pumpkins and sipped their hot cocoa, I saw so many of them laughing, taking pictures, and geeking out over the adorable photo booth. I saw them have fun, be creative and enjoy themselves all while their mom’s watched from the cozy hay bales around the fire. Maybe it was just the beautifully warm sunny day we we’re having, but something about this night just felt like genuine old fashioned fun.
As the sun set, we all chowed down the last of our pizza and said our goodbyes. If it hadn’t been a school night for them, I would have happily kept them all around the fire to hear more about how play practice was going, how that last homecoming game panned out, and what their next big adventures were. I guess all of that will have to be saved for our next get together! Thank you all for a wonderful evening of fall festivities and fun!
