Fall Willow Tree Wedding | Harvest Moon Pond | Poynette Wisconsin
This past weekend Carly and Ethan had a beautiful willow tree wedding on a warm and sunny fall day at Harvest Moon Pond!
The Wedding Day
The guys were the first to arrive and were charged with setting up decor, a task they laughed about being given the authority to handle. With a little extra help from the venue’s coordinator, they finished setting up and got dressed before we even started! A punctual crew eager to get the party started. I gave them props, the set up looked fantastic. With cold beers in hand, we headed out to the willow trees to start snapping away.
Meanwhile, the girls were finishing up hair and makeup off site. By the time they made their way into the bridal sweet, the only thing left to do was slip in to their dresses and relax! Carly and Ethan opted not to do a first look, so we made sure to take separate bridal party portraits prior to the ceremony.
Guests arrived late afternoon and enjoyed some time mingling on the patio. When the processional began, all eyes were on little Alex, the ring bearer, who rode down the aisle in style followed by an adorable gaggle of flower girls! When Carly made her way outside, Ethan’s emotional reaction had several of us in tears. Their ceremony was short and sweet with personal vows and a cute bubble exit! After, everyone was eager to grab cocktails and start celebrating.
The Wedding Night
The newlyweds attended their cocktail hour, and then we stole Carly for a some bridal portrait time before her dress change at the reception! A total surprise to her guests, and she looked incredible! After their cake was cut, we snuck the two of them off for some couple’s portraits. They weren’t alone for long before their little girl found them out near the willow trees. Her presence quickly turned it into an even more special moment. They shared a few twirls, big hugs, and a bit of quiet all together just as the sun set.
The evening went on with numerous toasts and speeches filled with funny stories, happy tears, and well wishes for the new pair. The gorgeous weather allowed for first dances out on the patio. The fire place and string lights made a cozy ambiance where most of the guests ended up staying long after.
