Engagement Photos in South Central Wisconsin
Lauren and Drew are an incredibly sweet, down to earth, adventure seeking couple who love their girl Dixie like non other! When they wanted an outdoorsy vibe for their engagement photos with a little privacy and plenty of space for her to roam free- I knew just the spot! This gem is located right in South Central Wisconsin and offers beautiful tall grasses, a large hill, water, and best of all- it’s dog friendly of course!
We’ve been so lucky to have photographed two of Drew’s sibling’s special days, so when he and Lauren reached out to us we we’re pretty stoked for another reunion. The Dixon family is full of kind hearts, and they certainly know how to plan a great party. While we had met them before at the weddings, this was the first time I really got to spend time with just Lauren and Drew and see what makes their bond so special.
The pair was introduced to one another through Lauren’s sister and I think it’s safe to say the connection was pretty instant. They shared with big smiles that they had gone on SIX dates in the first week! When I asked each of them what it is that they love most about the other- Drew said that it’s Lauren’s kindness and the way she treats others that he was drawn to. Lauren shared that she couldn’t choose just one thing about Drew. She admires his patience, the fact that he’s a great listener, he’s outgoing, has a sense of humor, and comes from a wonderful family! I can certainly agree with all of those things, especially the family part!
What struck me as the sweetest part of their night, was the pure joy on Lauren’s face every time she looked at Drew. She lit up with every embrace, and though Drew isn’t a big fan of PDA, he needed very little direction to show his girl plenty of love throughout their session. And let’s not forget the star of the show, Dixie who was more than pleased to hop trough fields and cheese it up for the camera. If their love for her is any indication of how they treat the ones they care most for- you’d be blessed to be in their inner circle!
We could not have asked for a more beautiful night with such a genuinely kind and caring couple. I am so excited for their wedding this December at the gorgeous Lac La Belle!
