Fall Wedding in Door County | Ellison Bay
Andy and Trevor’s fall wedding in Door County this weekend was everything they had hoped for and more. The rain held off, and the fall color did not disappoint. With each detail carefully thought out, and a few laughs along the way, they planned a beautiful celebration with loved ones from all over joining them.
Their wedding took place on the family’s private property and with the help of their bridal party and friends, they pulled off most of it off themselves. Their eclectic style was refreshing, and we loved how much thought they had put into each part of their day. However, my favorite part of all was the overall eagerness and excitement to marry each other!
The Wedding Day
The girls started their morning at a nearby air bnb while the guys hung out in Trevor’s family barn. We walked in to a sea of jewel tones, with most of the girls in a beautiful emerald green- including Andy herself. Her floor length robe was so much fun that we had to whisk her outside for a few solo pictures before getting her into her dress. Meanwhile, the guys were suiting up in their all black attire- very classy!
Andy and Trevor opted for a first look so that they could spend more of their day together and maximize on the sunlight. They chose a spot on the land that held sentimental meaning to Trevor, his late family dog’s favorite hang out. To make it even more meaningful, they also chose to exchange private vows during this time.
The following ceremony was light hearted and sweet. They shared a beautiful tree planting ceremony with soil from their parent’s and their homes. Guests were sent into a wave of laughter when someone accidentally forgot the rings, but luckily the pair found it equally as comical. After a brief pause, a good friend came running in, rings in hand to save the day!
After sealing it with a kiss, guests were free to enjoy beverages, a pretzel bar, and each other’s company! Andy and Trevor took time to make their rounds and say hello to all of their loved ones who had traveled to be with them. Their reception tent was beautifully lit, with glass vases and accents of gold and black throughout. It was a warm escape from the wind picking up outside, and with special goody bags for the kiddos- everyone seemed happy!
The evening warmed up quickly when our newlyweds took to the dance floor. Jaws dropped as they went from a sweet slow dance to a fast paced swing dance. They have a reputation of being good dancers, but seeing Andy pull off those moves in a wedding dress was incredible! I think it’s safe to say that we were all in awe. They weren’t the only ones with rhythm in their bones though, as many guests joined them on the dance floor that night!
Andy and Trevor wanted their wedding day to be joyful and full of life. When we snuck off for their portraits I asked them how they felt, and they both were over the moon. They had pulled it off! Cheers the new Mr. and Mrs. Mesko! May the rest of your lives together be as vibrant and happy as this day was.
