It also became really hard to keep track of all the recommendations I had been given soI started compiling them into a list. When my other friends started having babies as well, I shared this with them and saved them SO much hassle. Now as we all grow in parenthood, the list keeps building, but for now here are some of my absolute favorites below.
Promptly journal
If you want an incredible way to document your child’s life from conception through their 18th birthday, then this my friends is for you. I am so incredibly grateful that I have this gift to help me remember the small things. The book has sections for each trimester, the first 12 months, and then the following 18 years. You do not have to be a writer to fall in love with it! There are spaces for you to record special memories, favorite toys, first words, holiday details and more. If I could only recommend ONE perfect baby shower gift, it would be this.
Snooze Shade
If you plan to travel with your little one, this is a must! It’s made nap time and bedtime sleep while vacationing a total breeze. It creates a calm dark space for your baby while still allowing air flow to give you peace of mind. It even has velcro straps on the bottom to prevent it from falling!
Cloth Diapers
Cloth Diapering is SO much simpler than I thought and it has been incredibly cost effective for us. I wash diapers every other day and hang them to dry which not only saves on energy, it keeps hundreds of disposable diapers out of our landfills!
