a homestead equestrian session
This week’s senior spokesmodel feature is Allison! Throughout reading Allison’s application I quickly realized she was a lover of animals (instant win in my book), but what really got me was when she said she liked to ride donkeys. I read it three times and even asked David if he thought that was a weird typo. It wasn’t, so from there on I knew I just had to meet this girl. While she didn’t bring any donkeys to her session, she did take me to her beautiful homestead where we played with her pup and then ventured up the road to visit her horses!
Truthfully, I think horses are beautiful creatures, but they TERRIFY me. In elementary school I was nearly bucked off of one, and I never learned to love them after that. Allison on the other hand, had NO FEAR. At one point she was leading not one, but TWO horses at a time and then, she hopped on her favorite bare back! I’m fairly certain my jaw hit the ground. Watching Allison with her animals showed me something about her that I hadn’t read in her application. Allison had described herself as confident around animals, outgoing and independent. All of which, are excellent qualities that I look for in a senior spokesmodel. Not only was she all of those things, but she was also patient and compassionate. I saw how much she loved and cared for her animals, and that struck a chord with me. I knew for certain that Allison was just the kind of senior that belonged on our team!
When Allison isn’t out trail riding, she stays busy with FFA, CACS, work, and helping out the humane society. She’s actively involved in her school and community and works tirelessly towards her goals. I so appreciate the time I spent with her and her mom, enjoying their beautiful property and getting to know Allison even more off of paper. Enjoy some of my session favorites below!
